Billie Eilish Gets Support From Eddie Van Halen's Son After Facing Backlash From His Fans
Billie Eilish is facing backlash after revealing she didn’t know the band Van Halen.
The 17-year-old singer was making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and being quized on things that were popular in 1984, the year Jimmy was 17.
When she was asked if she could name a Van Halen, she replied, “Who?”
Many of the band’s fans criticized her for being a musician but not knowing the iconic group. After hearing about the reaction, Eddie Van Halen‘s son Wolfgang, who is the band’s current bassist, came to her defense.
“If you haven’t heard of @billieeilish, go check her out. She’s cool. If you haven’t heard of @VanHalen, go check them out. They’re cool too,” Wolfgang wrote.
He added, “Music is supposed to bring us together, not divide us. Listen to what you want and don’t shame others for not knowing what you like.”

Van Halen's David Lee Roth Gets Goofy at Billboard Music Awards 2015
David Lee Roth pretends he’s a matador with his jacket while walking the red carpet at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 17) in Las Vegas.
The 60-year-old rocker will be hitting the stage tonight with his band Van Halen for an electric performance!
The rock band has sold close to 100 million records and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2007. This performance will mark the first awards show gig for the band featuring Eddie Van Halen‘s son Wolfgang on bass.
