Russian President Vladimir Putin send Donald Trump a telegram congratulating him on winning the presidency.
In the telegram, NBC News reports that the Russian President is hoping “for cooperation in ending a crisis in Russian-American relations/”
He added that he hopes to have “a constructive dialogue between Moscow and Washington on the principles of equality, mutual respect and real consideration for each other’s position.”
Donald has spoken fondly of Vladimir during parts of his campaign, and Vladimir has been accused of favoring a Trump presidency. NBC notes that Donald has many policies planned to help the country including “recognition of Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula in 2014 and a scale-back of NATO forces in Europe.”
The Kremlin has also been accused of playing a part in Hillary Clinton‘s e-mail scandal, though they have denied involvement.
