'The Nun' Actress Bonnie Aarons Sues Warner Bros, Says They Aren't Being Honest About Revenue She's Owed

The Nun actress Bonnie Aarons is taking Warner Bros. Discovery to court over her payout for her involvement with the film franchise.

The 62-year-old actress has been playing the demonic nun Valak since 2016′s The Conjuring 2, which led to her spinoff series. She suited up again for 2023′s The Nun II, out in September.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bonnie feels that hasn’t been paid out her share in merchandising sales.

Warner Bros. is considering moving three highly anticipated movies to 2024 amid the two strikes happening in Hollywood: SAG-AFTRA and WGA.

While the SAG-AFTRA strike is active, actors are not allowed to promote any of their past or future projects, which means there will be no press tours or red carpet premieres.

Movie studios rely on having their A-List talent appearing on red carpets and giving interviews on talk shows to promote the films, so it’s very possible that some upcoming movies will hurt at the box office without the publicity campaigns.

This latest news, via Variety, is disheartening as some of these films that might be pushed were being released at the end of the year, so this might mean that movie studios are prepared for the strike to last through 2024.

Rami Malek Starring In New Series About Silent Film Star Buster Keaton (Report)

Rami Malek has a new role in the works.

According to a report by Deadline, the 41-year-old Bohemian Rhapsody actor is set to portray silent film star Buster Keaton in a new series about the icon’s life.

The series has The Batman director Matt Reeves attached to it.

Rami‘s new project is reportedly based on a book about Buster that was written by James Curtis. The actor is set to co-produce.

Who is Buster? The actor got his start as a vaudeville performer before becoming a comedy icon in the era of silent movies. He is best known for starring in The General, which was released in 1926 and passed away in 1996.
