The Costume Institute’s spring 2015 exhibition is titled China: Through the Looking Glass and will be on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 7 through August 16, 2015.
This year, the Honorary Chair is Silas Chou while Wong Kar Wai will serve as the Exhibition Artistic Director.
Meet this year’s Co-Chairs:
Jennifer Lawrence – American actress, 24, won the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook; won a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award, and was nominated for an Academy Award, for her supporting role in American Hustle (2013); earned her first Academy Award nomination for her 2010 role in Winter’s Bone
Gong Li – Chinese actress, 49, twice won the Golden Rooster and the Hundred Flowers Awards; as well as the Berlinale Camera, Cannes Festival Trophy, National Board of Review, New York Film Critics Circle Award, and Volpi Cup
Marissa Mayer – Pesident and CEO of Yahoo!, 39, ranked sixth on the 40 under 40 list and named the 16th most-powerful businesswoman in the world by Fortune magazine in 2014
Wendi Murdoch – Chinese-born American businesswoman, 49, director for the holding company that licensed the MySpace brand and technology to MySpace China back in 2011; chief of strategy for MySpace’s China operation; Yale School of Management board of advisers
