While speaking with People, Jada revealed she and her husband, Will Smith, were actually separated for 6 years before he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. She added in a new interview on the Today show that they are still separated at this time.

Will Smith is spending some quality time with his family.
The 54-year-old Academy award-winning actor was seen grabbing a bite to eat with Jada Pinkett Smith and their kids Jaden, 25, and Willow, 22, at Soho House in Malibu on Sunday (September 10).
Also spotted at the restaurant was Will‘s ex Sheree Zampino and their 30-year-old son Trey.
The family’s outing comes shortly after Will discussed his children in an interview with Kevin Hart for his Peacock series Hart to Hart.
“Nobody in my family was happy. Nobody wanted to be in a platoon. Willow was the first one to begin the mutiny, and it was my first realization that success and money don’t mean happiness,” he said. Check out the rest of his interview here.
