The WWE is full of action lately, including some electrifying returns to the ring!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen some incredible performers from the wrestling world get back into action with surprise appearances, including commentators and wrestlers alike. Some wrestlers were only gone for a few weeks, but others have been gone for months, or even years.

There has also been at least one very headline-making departure amid scandal.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is back on WWE!

The 51-year-old actor and wrestler made a surprise return at WWE Raw Day 1 in San Diego over the New Year’s Eve weekend, and he’s got a match with Roman Reigns in mind.

“I’m going to go get something to eat. When ‘The Rock’ goes out to get something to eat tonight in San Diego, should ‘The Rock’ sit in a booth? Or, should ‘The Rock’ sit at the bar? Or, should ‘The Rock’ sit at the head of the table?” he asked the crowd, teasing the idea. (Head of the Table refers to the moniker used by Roman Reigns.)

A major WWE show is moving to a new network.

The wrestling company and NBCUniversal have agreed to a five-year domestic media rights deal that will bring Friday Night SmackDown to USA Network starting in October 2024, leaving its current home on Fox.

WWE will also produce four specials a year for NBC primetime, Deadline reports.

Steph De Lander is opening up about a private wrestling match.

The 26-year-old former WWE star spoke out during a VICE Australia interview, revealing that she wrestled alongside other WWE stars in front of Florida governor and presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis.

“I’ve wrestled in front of him,” she said.

Logan Paul is definitely feeling the burn after sustaining an injury during a recent wrestling match.

The 28-year-old content creator and boxer hit the ground hard after being thrown through a table while facing off against other wrestlers in a match on Saturday (July 1) in London, England.

The match involved ladders, and Logan landed in the ring after the one he was standing on got knocked over. Adding insult to injury, one of his competitors flipped him out of the ring and into a table.

However, he slid over the table and went all the way down. Afterward, he hopped online to show fans how badly he was hurt.

Alexa Bliss is recovering after a surgical procedure.

The 31-year-old WWE wrestler confirmed that she was recently diagnosed with skin cancer in a post on social media.

“Dear younger me, You should have stayed out of tanning beds,” she wrote in an Instagram Story post, adding: “All clear now though!”

Simone Johnson has chosen her wrestling name!

The 20-year-old daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia, took to social media to share her official WWE name.
