Niall Horan has Katy Perry to thank for the moment that kickstarted his career.
The 29-year-old “Slow Hands” crooner came to fame as a member of One Direction, the boy band that was formed on X Factor. However, he revealed to Katy‘s fiancé Orlando Bloom that it never would have happened without her help.
He explained how during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The X Factor is a hit-making machine.
The British reality TV music competition series, created by Simon Cowell, first premiered back in September of 2004, going on for 15 seasons until December of 2018. And now, it sounds like it may be coming back soon.

Good news for fans of The X Factor.
According to Simon Cowell, the popular singing competition series might be making a comeback in both the United States and the United Kingdom.
The U.S. version of the show ran from 2011 to 2013 and famously birthed Fifth Harmony. Meanwhile, the U.K. version has been off-air since 2018 but features a star-studded cast of competitors including One Direction and Little Mix.

Louis Walsh, one of the longtime judges on the UK version of The X Factor, has made a serious allegation about Britney Spears and her time on the US version of the talent show.
When Britney was a judge during season two in 2012, Louis served as a guest judge when Simon Cowell was out sick.
In a new interview, Louis talked about what was happening with Britney at the time and what it was like to sit at the judges table with her.

Dalton Harris is bravely coming out while revealing his mental health struggles.
Over the weekend, the 26-year-old Jamaican singer and winner of The X Factor Season 15 got candid about ending a relationship recently, as well as struggling with suicidal thoughts.
“I had a deep realization last night. The only reason I didn’t take my life today is because I spoke with GOD and I decided to make the biggest change ai will ever make in my life. I want to live my life not running away from pain inflicted on me@or the pain I inflict on anyone,” he wrote.
“I want to be happy and truly smile. I ended a relationship that was the beat thing that happened to me and that taught me so many things. Taught me that I am valuable and that I matter and deserve love. Thank you Ayose. I will love you forever. I want to experience live and be honest with myself and everyone around me in my intentions. Not hide or mask feelings and or flaws. Not judge myself. Not abuse myself and or anyone else. I am thankful for my family and everyone who is around me,” he continued.
“Today I am deciding to change my life. And live better. And sharing this is the first step because it was hard. For the ppl thinking someone sharing their experience with suicide n choosing to fight n live is abt attention, It’s sad tht we hv become so heartless and into social media that we can continue to destroy someone already destroyed. But I will use my life as a lesson. For others,” he continued.
“Thank you for everything. I am growing. Opinions don’t matter anymore, but you are welcomed to wasting yours. To anyone that struggles. I will be sharing how to get help in a few days. I will take a break to focus on my recovery and healing and be with the people who love me. Privacy and honesty are different things and no one is entitled to ME. I will never ask for acceptance from anyone that struggles to accept me in the slightest bit. That is done and over with. Lastly, To the boys with fragile egos, I am a TOP to you and your girlfriend. Or non-binary partner. 🤷🏾♂️,” he wrote on Instagram on Saturday (October 17).
He then tweeted out a pansexual pride flag.
“SO the term ‘Pansexual’ was googled a record amount of times in Jamaica. Always gd to help educate & spread awareness & acceptance. I am overwhelmed by the love. For those that experience similar challenges and reached out. Hang in there. It all leads back to LOVE,” he went on to say on Sunday (October 18).

Louis Tomlinson is returning to his X Factor UK roots!
The 26-year-old One Direction star will be joining the judges panel of the upcoming fall season, he confirmed on Tuesday (July 17) by attending a press conference at Somerset House in London, England.

Louis showed up for the press conference looking casual in a white hoodie and black and white striped tracksuit pants.
Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field are also joining the panel alongside Simon Cowell.
