Congratulations to Roma – the movie won Best Picture at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 13) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

The film was nominated for eight awards at the show and won three more – Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron, Best Cinematography for Alfonso, and Best Foreign Language Film.

Alfonso was joined by actors Yalitza Aparicio and Marina De Tavira on stage to accept the final award of the night.

The other Best Picture nominees were Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, The Favourite, First Man, Green Book, If Beale Street Could Talk, Mary Poppins Returns, A Star Is Born, and Vice.

Alfonso Cuaron hits the blue carpet at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 13) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 57-year-old filmmaker was joined at the event by his Roma actresses Yalitza Aparicio and Marina De Tavira.

Roma is nominated for eight awards including Best Picture, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Actress for Yalitza, and four more awards for Alfonso – Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing.

Yalitza Aparicio was shining at the LA Film Critics Association Awards!

The 26-year-old Roma star joined director Alfonso Cuaron at the reception on Saturday night (January 12) at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Calif.

During the event, Yalitza and Alfonso were honored with the award for Best Picture and Best Cinematography.

Earlier in the evening, the duo also attended a Tastemakers event where they mingled with celebrity supporters like Charlize Theron and Diego Luna.

The two actors stepped out for a Tastemakers event on Saturday night (January 12) at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

The duo joined a group of tastemakers that also included Patricia Clarkson and Jodie Comer.

Also in attendance was Roma star Yalitza Aparicio and director Alfonso Cuaron.

During the Golden Globes last weekend, the film was a big winner, taking home Best Foreign Language film as well as Best Director.

The ladies were at the show to support their film Roma, which won the award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Roma writer and director Alfonso Cuaron is also up for Best Screenplay and Best Director.

Rosamund‘s A Private War director Matthew Heineman also hit the red carpet alongside Glenn‘s daughter Annie Starke.

Glenn, Rosamund, and Melissa are nominated alongside Lady Gaga and Nicole Kidman for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama at the Globes this weekend. Make sure to tune in on Sunday to see who wins!
