Kourtney Kardashian Accused of 'Fraud' by Malibu Mayor, Says She Lied About Massive Poosh Event

Kourtney Kardashian is under investigation.

On Saturday (September 23), Malibu Mayor Bruce Silverstein accused the 43-year-old reality star and her event planner of lying on a permit application, on which they claimed to be hosting a “baby shower” when the event ended up being a massive promotional event for Kourtney‘s brand Poosh.

According to Mayor Silverstein, when the permit was filed, it claimed the “baby shower” would be attended by 96 guests, however, more than 600 people showed up for the event.

In a post shared on Facebook, Mayor Silverstein says on Thursday (Sept. 21) he personally witnessed “multiple trucks unloading hundreds of boxes, furniture and other home-decor” at the house next to the one in which he lives.

“As an elected official, however, I am appalled by the situation, and it helps me understand what residents throughout the city are dealing with,” Mayor Silverstein wrote. “Not a good look for the city — although it is a great ad to non-residents who want to come here and destroy the residents’ peaceful enjoyment of their homes.”

Mayor Silverstein added, “I understand that the event has been represented to be a baby shower that is being hosted by the owner of the property. Both of those representations are contrary to what the event planner told me — which was that the house is being ‘rented’ for an ‘influencer event.’”

In a second post, Mayor Silverstein shared social media posts from the “Poolside with Poosh” event and accused Kourtney of “fraud.”

“The event planner and property owner both lied in the permit application — just as I told you from the start,” Mayor Silverstein wrote.

“As a resident, I demand that the city take appropriate legal action to address the fraud that was perpetrated by this company,” he added. “I also request an internal investigation to ascertain whether anyone working for the city was complicit in this matter, as opposed to having been defrauded.”

Mayor Silverstein also noted that none of the Kardashians attended the event.

As of right now, Kourtney has not publicly addressed the allegations.
