Jennifer Lawrence Covers 'Vanity Fair' February 2013

Jennifer Lawrence shows off her flower power on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine’s February 2013 issue, on newsstands tomorrow!

Here’s what the 22-year-old Silver Linings Playbook actress had to share with the mag:

On being Katniss Everdeen:
“I read the Hunger Games books when it was Oscar season, so for the first time I was in these dresses which didn’t look like me and didn’t feel like me. I felt like a walking rag doll. I remember sitting there in hair and makeup, listening to the things that they were talking about, and most of the things I didn’t even know…. So I read that and I was like, ‘I know exactly how that feels.’”

On walking the red carpet: “It’s uncomfortable having to pose when people are shouting at you and the next day you just get slaughtered. You walk out there and go, ‘Hate me!’”

On auditioning for her first role: “I read the script, and it was the first time I had that feeling like I understand this. This is the first time I’ve ever understood anything. I was 14. And my brothers were star athletes. And one of them was a straight-A student. I always felt like I sucked at everything, that I could never find the thing that I liked. I auditioned and I probably sucked, but I had decided 100 percent that this is what I wanted to do.”

is it “cool” today to sound like such a debbie downer, and think you suck at everything?!? I got the impression she can hardly smile and talks in a monotone voice all the time while looking down instead of up.. wowza.

@essie: they often photoshop better bone structure and cheekbones on covers.

Believe it or not I just love what she says in her interviews…

I like her and all, but she’s always so negative about “Hollywood” or being an actress or whatever. It’s NOT a hard job. Being a fireman is a hard job. Some people in this industry need to get a grip of reality. Yeah, there’s cons to it like every other job, yet somehow they feel entitled to constantly complain while they’re rich and making more than they should. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. You can still be an actor doing theater, short films, indies and without publicity. But you CHOSE those movies knowing what will happen. And yeah, paparazzi probably sucks, and hate is awful, but is that really what actors do nowadays? Are they too pretentious that they focus on those very few cons instead of the mass of pros and opportunities they get that others don’t?

This Dumbass girl loves to draw attention at any price, more than sex or eating.

They photoshopping her face because she has a round face with squirrel cheeks

She’s not happy because she’s faking herself. She still can get out of the business and be forgotten. You are there because you still kind of like the attention, don’t ya Jennifer?

Obviously they going to photoshopping her. She has a chubby face, besides her flabby arms and body.

@S:

If you’d actually take the time to read more of the article instead of judging her on one little quote and running your mouth, you see that she basically says the same thing you just said:

“Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid. Everyone’s like, ‘How can you remain with a level head?’ And I’m like, ‘Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.”

She’s one of the few people in Hollywood who actually gets it. Actors aren’t special. She’s not anyone special. However, WE as a SOCIETY place actors and athletes etc. up on a pedestal like they’re some superior race. Jen is not being negative about Hollywood–she’s just stating the truth. She’s real, and it’s about time we see someone as genuine as her in addition to someone with actual talent come rolling through Hollywood. Other celebrities could really take a few notes from her.

She’s obese.
For Hollywood.

@S:
She does not complain. She would probably even agree with you. Try to read the whole article : “Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid. Everyone’s like, ‘How can you remain with a level head?’ And I’m like, ‘Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.”
— Jennifer Lawrence (Vanity Fair)

@offtheproperty: she’s perfect, healthy and has a curvy killer body, and that’s annoying you.

Where is she complaining? She gives credit to people like doctors and firefighters who have a more important job than her. I just love this girl. She has talent and beauty in spades and still manages to be real unlike other anorexic cliche ridden casting couch actresses.

I love this girl. She’s a supremely talented young actress, maintains a low profile, doing great movies with great roles, and will probably win all the big awards this year…she is making headlines for all the right reasons. She’s not in the news for her personal life, the way most of the losers these days are, the only way they can get attention is by flaunting their personal lives.

@S: Please read the full article before making snap judgements. She basically reiiterates what you’ve said, which is that actors are nothing special. People who save lives, who rish their lives at their jobs are the amazing people.

After seeing Jennifer in an interview with David Letterman I began to really like her. She seems extremely genuine, goofy, self-conscious and normal. I really hope she remains that way. So many celebrities pretend to be these things but it’s so transparent that some publicist told them it’d be good for their image. Most of them have their heads stuck so far up their as*es to really see any semblance of reality anymore.

And for those shallow folks who say she’s fat. You are what’s wrong with society. I know the majority of you are just trolls trying to get a rise.

she is so damn likable

Definitely the actress of her generation.

She can act like a professional for once.
And WTF is she comparing THG to Oscar season? Her fans make KStew fans seem reasonable.

The only people who live her are between 12-15 who are living in imaginationland
