'Oz the Great and Powerful': 2013's Highest-Grossing Film!
Oz the Great and Powerful has topped this weekend’s box office for the second week in a row, earning $42.2 million!
According to THR, the flick – which stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, and Mila Kunis – is now the highest-grossing film of 2013 with a domestic total of $145 million.
Coming in at number two was the Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin thriller The Call, which earned $17.1 million in its first week of release.
The number three slot went to Steve Carell‘s magician-themed The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, which grossed $10 million.
Rounding out the top five were Jack the Giant Slayer and Identity Thief, which made $6.2 million and $4.5 million, respectively.
Opening in limited release, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Benson‘s new flick Spring Breakers grossed $270,000 in just three theaters, for a huge $90,000 per theater average.
