Introducing Romy Byrne, That Next Level Chick
The stunning 21-year-old model was born and raised in NYC and has been modeling for over a year now with Next. She has a strong sense of music and currently works for famed rapper Talib Kweli, helping with mixtapes and running the studio.
“I like Nineties rap,” Romy shared. “Tupac, Biggie, Wu-Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, all of them. And I’m surrounded by it all the time, always have been.”
She added, “My first album was 50 Cent‘s Get Rich or Die Tryin’. When I was in fifth grade. And that’s real. I mean Get Rich or Die Tryin’. I was not messing around.”
The Bard-educated beauty comes from famous lineage – she’s the daughter of actors Ellen Barkin and Gabriel Byrne. Acting is in her blood!
“I like to write a lot – that’s what I did in school, and still do,” Romy said. “I write poetry. And I love reading. I like literally any novel.”
As for where she looks to for fashion: “Eeee-bay. So I’ll like figure out what kind of clothes I want to buy, and just buy the cheapest one. Like baseball jerseys, old Levi’s, really old Nikes. Vintage bucket hats. Stuff like that.”
