Sam Smith Will Take the Stage to Perform at 2014 MTV VMAs!

It’s official – Sam Smith has been added to the performance roster for the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards!

The 22-year-old British singer will take the stage that night to sing, as will previously announced performers Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, and more.

“I have watched the VMAs every year since I was a kid,” Sam said in a statement. “I am so insanely nervous but also so honored to be performing. This truly is a pinch yourself moment for me.”

The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards air live from the Forum in Inglewood, Calif on Sunday, August 24 @ 9pm ET/PT on MTV!
