Jessie J Regrets Calling Her Bisexuality a Phase

Jessie J wears a black and white outfit while making an appearance at Good Morning America on Friday morning (October 10) in New York City.

The 26-year-old singer was seen showing off her toned tummy the day before while attending the Z100 Jingle Ball 2014 Official Kick-Off Event presented by Goldfish Puffs. She helped announce the annual concert’s lineup, which she is a part of!

In a new interview with Billboard, Jessie says she regrets calling her bisexuality “a phase” while talking to The Mirror earlier this year.

“I’m a talker; I wear my heart on my sleeve. But sometimes I just have to know when to shut up,” Jessie said before declining to talk further on the subject.

I actually respect her a lot more now for saying this new quote. I don’t know what it’s like to be famous, but I do know that I often talk a lot when I meet new people or when I get nervous or when I’m passionate about something …and sometimes I’ll come away from the conversation and felt I overshared or I said something I didn’t want to or I worded something wrong. It’s never anything bad, it’s just something I didn’t want to say…and I always think “man, I need to know when to shut up”. I imagine that happens to a lot of people but they don’t even come out and say that they talk too much. She clearly worded something wrong when she was over-talking and then felt like an idiot…but she didn’t try to sugarcoat it or continue with word vomit, she told it like it was….she talks too much and she needs to know when to shut up. See? Even my comments are too long. Zipping it now.

What kind of ridiculousness have we come to when someone feels they have to apologize and cow tow and not be truthful that yeah, they experimented; explored their sexuality and learnt that yeah, they aren’t gay or they aren’t straight?! She’s a coward. She decided to “talk to much” and now she’s allowing others to shame her into proclaiming bisexualism when the truth is “it WAS a phase for her.” The LBGT community has a faction that is set on bullying and intimidating that I do not support and I think is going to backfire in time. Angelina Jolie, Anne Heche, Fergie and me and more had a phase and it is part of our history but its not who we are and were we chose to hang our hats. Get over it.
