Zayn Malik Removes One Direction From Twitter Handle

Zayn Malik is no longer associated with One Direction on social media.

The 22-year-old singer has officially changed his Twitter account handle to “@ZaynMalik,” shortening it from “@ZaynMalik1D.”

Almost immediately after fans noticed, #YouWillAlwaysBeZaynMalik1D started trending.

Zayn also removed references to the band from his bio, which used to include a link to 1D‘s website.
