Walmart Issues Apology After Racial Slur Appears on Website

Walmart is apologizing after a third-party vendor used a derogatory term to describe an item on their website.

Comedian Travon Free and New York Times best-selling author Roxane Gay both tweeted about the product and how it is completely unacceptable to use such language.

“We are very sorry and appalled that this third party seller listed their item with this description on our online marketplace,” Walmart released on Twitter. “It is a clear violation of our policy, and has been removed, and we are investigating the seller to determine how this could have happened.”

The language is unacceptable, so we have not attached a photo of the description.
