Brit Marling & 'The OA' Director Reveal How Part II is Different

Brit Marling walks the carpet at a screening of The OA Part II on Wednesday (March 20) at The Castro Theatre in San Francisco, Calif.

The 36-year-old actress and screenwriter was joined at the event by co-creator and director Zal Batmanglij.

The second season of the Netflix series moves the action to the Bay Area and the show is much different than the first season.

“It’s not like any other Season Two in the sense that it’s not like Part I,” Zal said during the Q&A. “Part II is its own distinct thing and it’s in a brand new city. It’s a continuing story but it’s also a brand new story.”
