The Kansas City Royals just won game five of the 2015 World Series and have beaten the New York Mets out for the title!

Since the game ended, celebrities immediately took to social media to congratulate the Royals and mourn the loss for the Mets.

The New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals have been battling it out for the 2015 World Series title since last week and the winner has just been decided!

The winning team had to win best out of four games played in the series.

The Mets were making their first appearance in the World Series since 2000, while the Royals had made an appearance last year, but lost the title.

Demi Lovato is riveting in red while performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” prior to Game Four of the 2015 World Series between the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals at Citi Field on Saturday (October 31) in Queens, N.Y.

The 23-year-old entertainer showed off her powerhouse vocals in a chilling rendition of the National Anthem, which was praised by tons of celebrities and even the sportscaster, who said it was one of the best ones he’s ever heard!

“Wow….@ddlovato can SING. Great anthem. #WorldSeries,” Josh Groban wrote on Twitter.

Gameplay at game one of the 2015 World Series between the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals was delayed on Tuesday night (October 27) when the broadcast feed experienced a failure.

Fox experienced technical difficulties after a signal from a truck in Kansas City was lost.

“The explanation for this delay is that Fox broadcasting has taken some kind of a technical glitch and the U.S. broadcasters at this event are having a broadcast issue. That may or may not why play has been stopped. That is a possible explanation being offered. Most unusual to have a game interrupted this way with no television,” the announcer on Fox said when the feed came back.

“Play will resume after the technical difficulties. You didn’t miss anything America because after the strike-out to Kendrys Morales, play stopped when Terry Collins came out onto the field, had a word with home-plate umpire Bill Welke, and that’s where we’ve been ever since,” the announcer added.
