'Avengers' Featured on EW's Six New Covers!

Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye are on the six new covers of Entertainment Weekly in anticipation of Avengers: Endgame.

Here’s what they had to share…

Chris Hemsworth on the late Stan Lee: “He just had a childlike wonder and enthusiasm. You’d want to talk about something like what-it-all-means and so on, and he was just like, ‘No, I’m just telling stories and we’re having fun!’ There’s a deeper meaning in the message, which he achieved so beautifully, but the childlike nature about him made me think, ‘Oh, good, we can all just stay big kids forever.’ He’s the perfect example.”

Scarlett, on the fear of revealing spoilers: “I’m gonna have PTSD from this [press tour.] I mean, honestly, it is so stressful. At the end of every day, I lie awake at night and I think about all the things I almost said. It gives me panic.”

Chris Evans, on the endurance of Marvel films over the years: “But even Bond doesn’t have the continuity. Bond was about constant reinvention. Star Wars has a similar continuity, but that was a big start-and-stop thing. [Marvel’s films] all took place in a finite amount of time. [Laughs] And that finite amount of time is a decade! That’s a huge landscape that he managed to make into this unbelievable ribbon of continuity.”

Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Don Cheadle recite lines like “His gauntlet was glowing / and wouldn’t you know it / He went to Wakanda / Excited to show it.” They all interject their own commentary as the story unfolds, with Scarlett quipping “Yeah, he blew it” after Thor fails to kill Thanos in the story.

Scarlett, Chris, Robert Downey Jr. and Paul Rudd hit Jimmy‘s couch, where they discussed the upcoming premiere of Avengers: Endgame and their favorite lines from the film.

Chris Evans Explains That Social Media Post That Alluded to a Captain America Retirement

Six of the Avengers – Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner – sat down for an interview with Good Morning America and Chris E. explained all those rumors that he’s retiring from the Marvel movie universe.

If you don’t know, Chris sent out an emotionally charged tweet after wrapping Avengers: Endgame which alluded to a possible retirement.

“It appeared that you were saying goodbye to your character. What should we read into that?” the Good Morning America host asked Chris.

“It is the end of a 22, 21 movie tapestry. A 10 year process. This has been an enormous part of my life. It’ll follow me ’til the day I die. When you think about it, it’s easy to get emotional about it. You try to prepare yourself for the completion, and the day came and it was more than I thought it would be,” Chris said in response. “It got me. I’m an emotional guy!”
