Jimmy Kimmel's Son Billy Makes First TV Appearance Following Heart Surgery - Watch Now!

Jimmy Kimmel is finally introducing viewers to his son Billy!

The late night talk show host brought Billy out during his monologue for his first on-air appearance following his second heart surgery last week.

“This guy had heart surgery, but look he’s fine everybody! Daddy cries on TV but Billy doesn’t,” Jimmy tearfully told the audience.

He added, “We want to thank the bright and talented doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital who treated Billy.”

Jimmy went on to explain how a program called CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) is at risk of being defunded which would impact the 1 in 8 children who use the service to receive life-saving medical care.

He encouraged views to call the House and Senate at (202) 225-3121 to tell them to fully fund CHIP now.

Jimmy Kimmel is sharing a super cute photo and health update on his son Billy!

The 49-year-old late night talk show host took to Twitter on Saturday (October 21) to celebrate his son’s 6-month birthday.

“Billy is 6 months old today. He’s healthy, happy & we’re very grateful for your prayers, wishes & support of @ChildrensLA & other hospitals,” Jimmy captioned the below photo of his son.

After Billy was born, Jimmy tearfully revealed that his son needed open heart surgery just three days after his birth after doctors discovered he wasn’t getting enough oxygen, caused by a heart issue.

Since his son’s birth, Jimmy has been fighting hard for healthcare support for other families going through the same medical issues Billy has been fighting.

Jimmy Kimmel Makes First Appearance with Son Billy!

Jimmy Kimmel made his first public appearance with his son Billy, five months, along with wife Molly and their daughter Jane, 3.

The family attended the 2017 L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade event at the UCLA Royce Quad over the weekend in Los Angeles. Other celebrities in attendance include Camilla Belle, Wilmer Valderrama, Emily Wickersham, and Bailee Madison.

Jimmy and Molly‘s son underwent heart surgery days after being born, and will need two more heart surgeries in the future.

The event ended up raising over $1.3 million for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for childhood cancer research.

Jimmy Kimmel Gives Update on Son, Says He Needs Two More Open Heart Surgeries

Jimmy Kimmel is giving fans an update on his three-month-old son Billy, who underwent open heart surgery just days after his birth.

The 49-year-old late-night host and his wife Molly McNearney, 39, shared an update last month as well, revealing that Billy was doing much better.

“Young Billy made his first visit to our office today. He’s juggling. He’s translating Flaubert from French into English,” Jimmy joked during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “No – he smiles. That’s pretty much it. He is very interested in ceiling fans. He likes those a lot. I could get him to pay the same amount for Netflix just to watch ceiling fans.”

“And his health?” Jimmy added. “He has to have two more open heart surgeries. We would like to get them over with and not have to think about it all the time, but it could definitely be worse.”

Jimmy Kimmel is giving fans an update on his son Billy, who underwent open heart surgery just days after being born.

The 49-year-old talk show host got candid about the scary experience on his show back in May and since then, Billy has been doing much better.

Jimmy took to his Twitter to share a sweet photo of Billy showing off a big smile.

Billy is 3 months old & doing great. Thx for the love & support. Please remind your Congresspeople that every kid deserves the care he got,” Jimmy captioned the photo.

Jimmy Kimmel Gives Update on Son & Speaks Out About Health Care - Watch Now!

Jimmy Kimmel has returned to his show following a paternity leave and his announcement about his son Billy‘s heart condition.

The 49-year-old talk show host gave an update an update on his son, saying he is doing “very well” and getting bigger!

“What a humbling outpouring of support. So many people made donations to CHLA and my wife and I are very grateful. Our plan is to send a card to everyone who made a donation and there were a lot, so you may get those at Christmas time,” Jimmy said.

He also added that he had hoped that his plea about healthcare would have made more of a difference.

Jimmy added, “So now the health care bill moves from the House to the Senate – where hopefully, some kind of common sense will prevail.”

He also invited Louisiana’s Republican Senator Bill Cassidy on the show to discuss the healthcare debate.

Snowboarder Shaun White Had Same Heart Condition as Jimmy Kimmel's Newborn Son - Watch Now

Jimmy Kimmel revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night that his newborn son Billy Kimmel was born with a heart condition and needed open heart surgery.

The 49-year-old talk show host’s guest that night, snowboarder Shaun White, comforted Jimmy while making his appearance, because Shaun had the same heart condition when he was a baby.

“I was probably just born. Similar situation like I was slowly turning blue,” Shaun said. “My parents knew something was up. The doctors came in found out that was the scenario‚Ä”the heart condition‚Ä”so I don’t obviously remember much at that point. I was so young.”

“It brought back a lot seeing that same exact photo with the tubes and the whatnot,” he added. “I have a lot of socks from when I was that age because the only thing my mom could dress me in was socks because she couldn’t touch me in my tube there.”

“You are an inspiration to a lot of families who go through this situation,” Jimmy responded. “It makes me believe that my son, too, is going to win Olympic medals for the United States of America.”
