Fred Willard's Cause of Death Released

Fred Willard‘s cause of death has been officially revealed after he passed away last month at the age of 86.

The beloved comedian and actor – well known for his work in the hit film Best in Show and television shows like Everybody Loves Raymond – died of cardiac arrest in mid-May, TMZ reports.

He suffered from myelodysplastic syndrome and coronary artery disease, according to his death certificate, which was released by the site.

“He kept moving, working and making us happy until the very end. We loved him so very much. We will miss him forever,” his family said in a statement at the time of his death.

Fred Willard Dead - Beloved Comic & Actor Dies at 86

Fred Willard, a beloved actor and comedian, has passed away at the age of 86.

The actor was best known for his roles in Everybody Loves Raymond and in Christopher Guest‘s mockumentary movies like Best In Show.

Fred‘s daughter Hope told THR that he died on Friday night (May 15). He died “very peacefully… He kept moving, working and making us happy until the very end. We loved him so very much! We will miss him forever.”

Jamie Lee Curtis, who is married to Christopher Guest, tweeted, “How lucky that we all got to enjoy Fred Willard’s gifts. He is with his missed Mary now. Thanks for the deep belly laughs Mr. Willard.”
