'Transparent' Will End Fifth & Final Season With a Musical Episode!

Transparent is ending on a high note – literally!

The Amazon series will end its fifth and final season with a musical episode that will air next fall, creator Jill Soloway told The New York Times.

“This idea of music rescuing our family was all there. So we’re like, Let’s just keep blowing on the flame. The Pfeffermans will live on, and that’s what kept us going. It will hopefully feel like Jesus Christ Superstar mixed with La La Land mixed with Flight of the Conchords with something more Jewish thrown in — a little Yentl,” Jill said.

The episode is being created by Jill, sister Faith Soloway and transgender performer Shakina Nayfack.

Natalie Portman, Rashida Jones & More Join Forces To Represent Time's Up at Makers Conference 2018!

Natalie Portman and Rashida Jones are all smiles as they pose for a photograph backstage at The 2018 MAKERS Conference at NeueHouse Hollywood on Monday (February 5) in Los Angeles.

The ladies were in attendance to represent Time’s Up.

Joining Natalie and Rashida at the panel were filmmaker Ava DuVernay, CAA motion picture agent Maha Dakhil, Katie McGrath, Grammy-winning music video director Melina Matsoukas, entertainment lawyer Nina Shaw and writer-producer Jill Soloway.

“Usually we’re the only woman at work. Like many other industries, we walk onto a nearly all male set and we’re usually alone and we rarely get to interact with each other,” Natalie said (via THR) about the movement bringing together women. “If you’re the only woman in the room it isolates you and prevents you from sharing stories so if there are predators you don’t talk to each other. It’s empowering to be in a room, on the same team, and refuse to be pitted against each other. There’s not only one spot–we’re going to make room for all of us. It’s really powerful. And we have all these new friends.”

Natalie and the ladies also announced that, since the January 1st launch of Time’s Up, the organization has raised $20 million and received requests for legal aid from those who lack the means to defend themselves from workplace abuses — farm workers, hotel workers, steelworkers, and others.

Amazon's 'I Love Dick' Gets Sexy New Trailer - Watch Now! (Video)

Kathryn Hahn and Kevin Bacon are bringing the heat in the new trailer for Amazon’s upcoming series I Love Dick!

In the show, set in Texas, the 43-year-old actress portrays Chris, a documentary filmmaker who is absolutely infatuated with her husband’s (Griffin Dunne) professor, Dick (Kevin).

Chris‘s obsession with Dick leads her to writing him lusty letters, which she never intends for him (or anyone) to read, until they turn into the best short story she’s ever created.

“Dear Dick,” she writes in one of the letters. “You’re like a Roman god bringing the spirit of sex into our lives.”

I Love Dick – based on the novel by Chris Kraus – is directed by Jill Soloway, the Emmy-winning creator of Amazon’s Transparent.

It also stars Roberta Colindrez, India Menuez, and Lily Mojekwu.

Don’t miss season one of I Love Dick when it premieres on May 12 on Amazon, and watch the trailer below!
