Jim Edmonds is slamming his estranged wife Meghan King after she revealed in a social media post that their son, Hart, has cerebral palsy.

The former baseball player claims that Meghan chose to share the news on social media first before even telling him about Hart‘s diagnosis.

Jim‘s rep, Steve Honig, shared with The Blast that he was “unaware of any such diagnosis and, if it is even true, it is completely unconscionable and absolutely disgraceful that Meghan would announce this on social media without discussing it with him first.”

Meghan, who previously starred on The Real Housewives of Orange County, took to social media earlier this week and shared Hart‘s diagnosis on World Cerebral Palsy Day.

“All the doctors and therapists told me I was just being an overly cautious mother. I thought I was losing my mind, but I insisted upon an MRI,” she wrote on her official website. “That MRI confirmed a diagnosis of Periventricular Leukomalacia or PVL which is brain death caused by lack of oxygen. This is often a precursor diagnosis to Cerebral Palsy.”

Meghan added that Hart was “diagnosed with Hypotonic Cerebral Palsy” and she “was expecting this diagnosis. Even though he’s the same kid I expected it to hit me hard. But it didn’t. It didn’t hit me hard at all. In fact I felt relieved.”

Previously, Meghan opened up about Hart‘s “irreversible brain damage”.

Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds and her husband Jim Edmonds have reportedly split after five years of marriage.

According to US Weekly, Jim filed for divorce on Friday (October 25), just a day after their wedding anniversary.

News of the couple’s split comes just four months after Jim was caught exchanging explicit text messages with another woman while Meghan was pregnant with their twins.

Meghan and Jim tied the knot back in October of 2014 and share two-year-old daughter Aspen and one-year-old twin boys, Hayes and Hart.

Meghan and Jim have not yet spoken out about the split.

Meghan King Edmonds is revealing some sad news.

The 34-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum wrote about her 13-month-old son, Hart, in a new post on Friday (July 5).

“From the minute he was born I knew something was different with Hart. The nurses struggled to straighten his legs to measure his length. He suckled hard, shallow, and often until I bled and he spit up black,” she wrote.

“I told our pediatrician—she said he was fine. I begged for a neurologist referral and when I got it—he said he was fine. I then begged for a neurologist who specializes in Cerebral Palsy (I jumped through hoops to get this appointment, so many hoops) and she said he might be fine. I then begged for an MRI,” she went on to write.

“I sat at a table with my husband for an hour as we waited for Hart to come out of the MRI. Tears gushed from my eyes as I blankly stared at the cars on the highway—but I wasn’t crying. My husband asked me what he could do. ‘Get me a Coke.’ Those tears were for a lot of things, but mostly the unknown and mostly Hart.”

That’s when she discovered the news.

“Hart has minor Periventricular Leukomalacia on both sides of his brain (namely the white matter), but more so on his right. She said that this explains all of my concerns: the rigidity in his muscles, the (somewhat) delayed physical milestones, the lack of fluidity with arm and leg movements, the stiffness in joints, the weakness in his lower back, the somewhat favored use of his right side. She told me this mainly occurs in premies and since he was not a premie (he was born at 37 weeks gestation) she believes this damage somehow occurred ‘a couple months before he was born.’ She explained that he is at risk for being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and will be monitored.”

“Hart has irreversible brain damage, it’s called PVL. Like I said, I already knew.”

Retired baseball player Jim Edmonds, the husband of Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds, is speaking out in response to allegations of cheating.

Explicit text messages between Jim and another woman were leaked online on Thursday (June 13), showing that he allegedly sent lewd photos to the woman. AllAboutTheTEA.com claimed that Jim had an affair with the woman while married to his second wife and that they reconnected in 2018 while Meghan was pregnant with their twins. The website claims that Jim even sent an explicit video to the woman on the day that Meghan gave birth to the twins.

In a statement given to Us Weekly, Jim apologizes for his “poor decision.”
