'Project Runway' Contestant Brings Up Karlie Kloss' In-Laws, Then Gets Eliminated

A clip from the latest episode of Project Runway has gone viral after a contestant threw shade at judge Karlie Kloss… and then got eliminated.

The challenge on this week’s episode was to create a look that Karlie could wear in Paris.

Contestant Tyler Neasloney‘s outfit was slammed by the judges. “I cannot see Karlie wearing it anywhere, honestly,” judge Brandon Maxwell said in response.

“Not even to dinner with the Kushners?” Tyler then replied, referring to Karlie‘s in-laws. She is married to Joshua Kushner, the younger brother of Ivanka Trump‘s husband Jared Kushner.

Karlie‘s mouth dropped at this moment and then she said, “Um, I was going to Paris. That was your challenge here. Keep it to the challenge.”

“I know that this is not what I asked for. The fabrics are poor choices. I think they look cheap. The pockets are kind of ill-placed. And if this is your aesthetic, then that’s that. But this was about my aesthetic and the influence of my stylist,” Karlie added.

Tyler was then eliminated from the competition.

Chris March Dead - 'Project Runway' Alum Dies at 56

Project Runway star Chris March has sadly passed away at the age of 56.

The costume designer died on Thursday (September 5) after suffering a heart attack, according to TMZ.

Sources close to his family say he had been in and out of the hospital for the past year related to a fall he suffered two years ago where he hit his head and was unconscious in his home for four days.

Despite his medical issues, they added that the heart attack came as a surprise to doctors and his family.

Chris was a finalist on season four of Project Runway and appeared on Project Runway All Stars. He also had his own Bravo show called Mad Fashion.

He went on to design for stars like Beyonce, Meryl Streep, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Coolidge.

Our thoughts are with Chris‘ family during this difficult time.

Project Runway's Christian Siriano Reveals How He's Different Than Tim Gunn as a Mentor

Project Runway‘s new stars Karlie Kloss, Elaine Welteroth, and Christian Siriano sit on stage while discussing the show during the 2019 Winter TCA Tour on Tuesday (January 29) in Pasadena, Calif.

Karlie is the new host of the show, Christian is the new mentor, and Brandon Maxwell and Elaine are joining the returning Nina Garcia on the judging panel.

Christian opened up at the event about how he will be different than previous mentor Tim Gunn.

“What’s really great about this season is that, for the first time, the mentor for the designers gets to be a designer,” Christian said (via Vulture). “Tim was never a designer. He never worked in the business. He was a teacher. When the designers have a red-carpet challenge, I can actually give them real feedback because I’d just dressed people at the Golden Globes the week before. I’m giving them real, fashion-industry feedback that can, hopefully, only help them.”

The 17th season of Project Runway will mark the show’s return to Bravo.

FYI: Karlie is wearing A.L.C. pants.
