Chris Diamantopoulos: 'Three Stooges' Stud
Chris Diamantopoulos heats up the April 2012 issue of August Man magazine, on stands this week.
The 36-year-old Canadian actor is all American in this LA-style editorial. Here’s what he had to share about his new film, The Three Stooges:
On playing Moe: “I love the physical transformation involved with character work.My body and face are very different than the real Moe Howard’s,
which is why at first I had a hard time wrapping my head around the role. I had a blast working with Sean Hayes and Will Sasso. For three months from dawn till sundown, we slapped, punched and beat the living daylights out of each other. 95% of what you see on screen is real. We hit each other. Hard!”
On who else he hopes to work with: “Tom Hanks. No question. He is and always has been a true inspiration. That would be a great honour. I’d love to work with Tom Cruise. He seems to put his heart and soul into everything he does, and I think we have that in common. Ridley Scott is a director I’ve always wanted to work with. I love the intensity of his films. And I can’t in good conscience be asked who I hope to work with and leave out Steven Spielberg. He makes the kind of movies I want to be in.”
