Jessica Chastain - Met Ball 2012

Jessica Chastain brings a shimmer of blue on the red carpet as she arrives at the 2012 Met Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

The 31-year-old The Help actress wore a corseted blue metal satin Louis Vuitton dress and Harry Winston jewels. The dress is made of a tulle crinoline and entirely hand embroidered with crystals and pearls and took over 200 hours of work. Her hairstyle was created by Renato Campora for Frederic Fekkai.

Jessica recently passed on a possible role in Marvel’s next installment of Iron Man.

“Sorry to say that Iron Man 3 isn’t going to work out,” Jessica explained on her Facebook. “My schedule is jammed packed and I can’t fit anything else in. The press announced my possible attachment far too soon. I know many of you wanted me to be involved, and I’m so sorry to disappoint you. Hopefully there’ll be another Marvel film in my future.”
