U.S. Olympians Cover 'Vogue' June 2012

Soccer star Hope Solo, swimmer Ryan Lochte, and tennis champ Serena Williams grace the cover of Vogue‘s June issue, on newsstands May 22.

Here’s what the U.S. Olympians had to share with the mag:

Hope, on being a goalie: “You know, with goalie they would play the slow kid in school, and basically for over a decade I was embarrassed to say I was goalkeeper … I heard somebody say once that goalkeepers don’t win games, they save them.”

Ryan, on prepping for the Summer Olympics in London: “If you take two or three days off, you are not going to feel right for a week or two … I’m always bruising and scraping things playing basketball and skateboarding. I’m pretty much a coach’s nightmare.”
