Harry Potter's Robbie Coltrane Hospitalized After Flight

Robbie Coltrane was hospitalized on Thursday (January 29) after falling ill on a British Airways flight from London to Orlando, according to TMZ.

The 64-year-old actor, who played the role of Hagrid in the Harry Potter series, was experiencing severe flu-like symptoms during the flight and paramedics met him at the gate to take him to hospital. He will remain there overnight for treatment.

Robbie was flying to Florida to attend a Harry Potter convention along with his co-star Michael Gambon, who played the role of Dumbledore in the later films.

There are some reports that Robbie was drinking heavily in the London airport lounge before his flight, but these have not yet been substantiated.

We hope that Robbie makes a speedy recovery!
