Clayne Crawford Lands Mel Gibson Role in 'Lethal Weapon' Pilot

Clayne Crawford is set to take on the role of Martin Riggs in the upcoming Lethal Weapon television pilot!

The 37-year-old actor will be playing the role made famous by Mel Gibson in the film series.

The series will follow “Texas cop and former Navy SEAL Martin Riggs, [who] suffers the loss of his wife and baby [and] moves to Los Angeles to start anew. There, he gets partnered with LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans Sr.) who, having recently suffered a ‘minor’ heart attack, must avoid any stress in his life,” according to THR.

Also set to star in the new Fox series are Jordana Brewster, Kevin Rahm, and Golden Brooks.
