Shailene Woodley Says She Has A 'Super F--ed Up Family'

Shailene Woodley sports a trendy black jumpsuit while out and about in downtown Manhattan on Thursday (September 15) in New York City.

The 24-year-old actress was also spotted returning to The Bowery Hotel before checking out.

Shailene recently opened up about her personal life and revealed details about her childhood.

“My family is super-f–ked up in many ways, but they are also my everything,” she told The Edit by Net-A-Porter. “They would do anything for me, and I would do anything for them. That’s a lot more than most people can say about their families. I’m grateful for the s–t that happened.”

She went on to share that her father, a psychologist, and her mother, a counselor, would make her and her little brother, Tanner, hug each other for hours in the front yard when they got into arguments!

“The whole time you’re just seething, you’re disliking this person with so much energy, but if you let go you have to stay there for an extra hour,” Shailene explained. “That was the manipulative psychology my parents were into!”
