Nastia Liukin Postpones Wedding to Fiance Matt Lombardi

Nastia Liukin has announced that she and fiance Matt Lombardi have decided the postpone their upcoming wedding.

The 27-year-old Olympic gold medalist and her fiance of two years have decided to hold off on their wedding as she focuses on her career.

“My career has been so crazy, we both felt it was best to take a breather and focus on spending time with each other,” Nastia told People mag. “We’re together, we’re engaged and we are postponing.”

Nastia and Matt were originally set to get married on June 24 in Rhode Island, but the gymnast says they will most likely tie the knot next summer.

“I’m really obviously very excited to spend the rest of my life with him,” Nastia said. “We bought a house in December and started a news business together and we just kind of wanted to take a second and pause and breath.”
