'Roseanne' Spinoff Officially Happening at ABC!

It’s official – a Roseanne spinoff is coming to ABC!
ABC announced on Thursday (June 21) that they will begin production on a 10-episode revival called The Conners – without Roseanne Barr.
“After a sudden turn of events, the Conners are forced to face the daily struggles of life in Lanford in a way they never have before,” ABC said in a statement about the upcoming show. “This iconic family – Dan, Jackie, Darlene, Becky and D.J. – grapples with parenthood, dating, an unexpected pregnancy, financial pressures, aging, and in-laws in working-class America. Through it all, the fights, the coupon cutting, the hand-me-downs, the breakdowns – with love, humor and perseverance, the family prevails.”
Original cast members John Goodman (Dan), Laurie Metcalf (Jackie), Sara Gilbert (Darlene), Lecy Goranson (Becky) and Michael Fishman (D.J.) have all signed on to be a part of the new spinoff.
Last month, ABC cancelled the Roseanne spinoff after Roseanne sent out a racist tweet about President Obama‘s adviser Valerie Jarrett.
The Conners is set to premiere this fall.
