Christian Bale Says 'Vice' Isn't a Comedy, But a Tragedy

Christian Bale accepts the award for Best Actor in a Comedy for his work in Vice at the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 13) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.

If you don’t know, Christian plays the role of former Vice President Dick Cheney in the film, and when he got on stage to accept the award, he questioned its status as a “comedy.”

“Time sort of allows it to be considered a comedy but it’s really a tragedy,” Christian said when he arrived on stage.
