Lauv is starting off his New Year with new music!

The 25-year-old “I Like Me Better” hit-maker has just dropped a brand new single called “Changes” from his upcoming 21-track debut album, ~how i’m feeling~, which is set for release on March 6, 2020.

“Often times in my life I’ve felt like I’m living a simulation, in the sense that I live in fear of change. In fear of making a wrong decision,” Lauv said in a statement about the song on Instagram. “So I stick to patterns and old habits even when they don’t serve me or anyone else. drinking too much. ignoring problems in the world. Not trusting myself… thus staying in a world where my actions are predetermined and my habits control me (and not the other way around).”

“This song is about getting to the point in my life where i could no longer stand to stay like this,” Lauv continued in his statement. “When I could no longer stand to do things that didn’t make me happy and that didn’t help anyone else. This song is about becoming better. About empowering yourself. This is ‘Changes‘ – I hope you feel it and love it 💜”
