'Bad Boys for Life' Opening Weekend Box Office Numbers Revealed!
Bad Boys for Life is big!
The third film in the Bad Boys franchise, co-starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, is projected to bring in $68 million in its opening weekend through Monday, Variety reported on Sunday (January 19).
The movie was expected to debut at $38-45 million, and far surpassed those early projections!
The film easily won at the box office over the weekend, and earned an A CinemaScore and 76% Fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes. It now has the second-biggest opening ever for a January release behind American Sniper, which opened at $107 million.
The movie also brought in $37.3 million overseas, meaning the movie will surpass $100 million worldwide after the weekend. The movie cost $90 million to make, and a fourth installment is already being planned.
