Britney Spears Moves To Make Jodi Montgomery Her Permanent Conservator

Britney Spears has made a motion in court to make Jodi Montgomery her permanent conservator.

According to People, legal documents from her legal team revealed that the 39-year-old singer has “requested the resignation” of her father Jamie Spears as her permanent conservator.

She’s also moving forward with her plans to make Jodi‘s role permanent as her conservator.

The document also states that Britney “reserves the right to petition for the termination of this conservatorship.”

Last year, Britney and her legal team filed paperwork that said she “strongly prefers to have a qualified corporate fiduciary appointed to serve in this role.”

Just recently, his own attorney spoke out about the court battle between the father and daughter, and Vivian Lee Thoreen noted that Jamie would love to see Britney not need a conservatorship at all.

“Jamie is not suggesting that he is the perfect dad or that he would receive any ‘Father of the Year’ award. Like any parent, he doesn’t always see eye-to-eye on what Britney may want. But Jamie believes every single decision he has made has been in her best interest,” she shared while speaking with CNN.

In November of 2020, a judge ruled to keep Jamie as conservator and also appointed Bessemer Trust to act as co-conservator of her $60 million estate.
