Idris Elba Shares Exciting Update About the 'Luther' Movie!

Idris Elba is speaking out with an exciting update for fans of his BBC series Luther!

We already knew that a movie was in the works, but the 48-year-old actor just revealed that the movie is going to begin production very soon.

“We go into production, fingers crossed, in September. I’m so excited about it, it’s been a long time coming. We’re very, very close to pulling the green light on production,” Idris said in a new interview with Variety on Friday (May 21).

The first season of Luther aired in 2010 and there have been five seasons overall throughout the years.

Idris has won many awards for his work on Luther, including a Golden Globe, a SAG Award, and a Critics Choice Award.
