Rob Zombie Announces His Next Movie Will Be Based On This Classic Sitcom

Rob Zombie has announced his next project!

The rocker turned filmmaker revealed on social media that he’ll be directing a new flick based on The Munsters, a classic sitcom from the 1960s.

“Attention Boils and Ghouls!” Rob announced in the caption of the post. “The rumors are true! My next film project will be the one I’ve been chasing for 20 years! THE MUNSTERS!”

Rob continued on, writing that fans should “stay tuned for exciting details as things progress!”

He also added a few hashtags including “Universal Studios,” which controls the franchise.

The Munsters sitcom centered on the monstrous family who lived at 1313 Mockingbird Lane who try to live in a normal suburban neighborhood.

The family consisted of dad Herman, who looks like Frankenstein’s monster; mom Lily and her dad, Grandpa, are vampires; and son Eddie is a werewolf; Marilyn, the niece, is just a normal girl.

News of a reboot first were announced back in 2017, with this late night talk show host being part of it.
