The 2021 Emmys Governor's Ball Has Been Canceled Again

Just like last year, The Television Academy has announced that they will not hold the post-Emmys Governor’s Ball.

The post-award show celebration was cancelled for the first time last year due to pandemic concerns, and it seems that the reason is holding for this year’s cancellation as well.

The Television Academy shared that the “events are being canceled due to ongoing concerns and public health mandates,” according to THR.

The Delta variant of COVID-19 is prompting a rise in infections, including in Southern California, and a new mask mandate was put in place just recently.

Now, The Television Academy revealed that they plan to host a “series of enhanced Emmy Nominee Celebrations in advance of the Emmys at its NoHo Arts District campus. These intimate-themed gatherings will honor nominees across the numerous peer groups.”

The 2021 Emmys will take place on Saturday, September 11, and Sunday, September 12. Here’s who will be hosting…
