OnlyFans Is Going to Prohibit Users From Posting Adult Videos - Find Out When & Why

OnlyFans is moving away from adult entertainment.

The company, which allows users to provide exclusive content to subscribers, will prohibit users from posting any sexually explicit conduct, they confirmed on Thursday (August 19), via Bloomberg.

The company revealed that the move will begin in October.

“Creators will still be allowed to post nude photos and videos, provided they’re consistent with OnlyFans’ policy,” Bloomberg reported.

“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and the continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” OnlyFans said in a statement, citing pressure from banking partners and payment providers to change their policy.

Over 130 million users are on OnlyFans, and many of their creators charge for explicit photos and videos. The company is valued at over $1 billion, and handled over $2 billion in sales in 2020.

The news comes as the company launched a free streaming service with some celebs involved.
