Man Dies at Dead & Company's NYC Concert After Falling from Balcony

A man has died after falling from a balcony at New York City’s Citi Field during a Dead & Company concert.

The incident happened at around 9pm on Friday night (August 20) and first responders took the man to the New York Presbyterian Hospital in Queens. The man was in critical condition after the accident and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A police source told the New York Daily News that the man was a Brooklyn resident in his 40s. The source said, “He attempted a body flip, fell, and landed on the balcony below.”

The man landed on concrete and his injuries were consistent with a fall.

The Dead & Company concert featured John Mayer with former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann.
