Michael Tylo Dead - 'Guiding Light' & 'The Young & The Restless' Actor Dies at 73
The soap opera world is mourning the loss of a beloved actor.
Michael Tylo died at the age of 73 on Tuesday (September 28) at the Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Nevada.

Michael‘s death was announced by the University of Nevada, where he was a film professor. As of right now, Michael’s cause of death has not been disclosed.
“Michael Tylo was a beautiful and caring human being — he was so special,” Nancy Uscher, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, said in a statement on the university’s website. “He was an exemplary friend, colleague, teacher, and artist. He had such a distinguished and rich career, but he was humble about his accomplishments. He loved his family dearly and lived a joyous life, but he left us way too soon. We will miss him greatly, but feel deep gratitude about all that Michael contributed to the College of Fine Arts, UNLV, and the world.”
Michael started acting in 1980, and has appeared on soap operas including Another World, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and Guiding Light.
