Billie Eilish Slams Texas Abortion Law While Performing in Austin

Billie Eilish is slamming Texas, while performing in Texas.

On Saturday night (October 2), the 19-year-old entertainer performed during the 2021 ACL Music Festival in Austin.

While on stage, Billie took a moment to slam Texas’ restrictive new law against abortions.

“I’m sick and tired of old men. Shut the f–k up about our bodies,” Billie said in a video captured by a fan, as the words “Bans Off Our Bodies” flashed on the screen behind her on stage.

Last month, Texas passed a new law allowing private citizens to sue abortion providers and anyone else who help a woman obtain an abortion after six weeks of pregnancy. It also makes no exceptions for cases of rape or incest.

Billie then told the crowds that she considered canceling her appearance at the festival because of the law.

“When they made that s–t a law, I almost didn’t want to do the show, because I wanted to punish this f–king place for allowing that to happen here,” Billie added. “But then, I remembered that it’s you guys that are the f–king victims, and you deserve everything in the world.”

Billie then added, “We need to tell them to shut the f–k up.”

She concluded her message by raising her middle finger and shouting, “My body, my f–king choice!”

In a recent interview, Billie Eilish addressed all the scrutiny surrounding her sexuality.
