Frank Grillo Confirms Split from Nicky Whelan, Talks Dating Apps & More

Frank Grillo is a single man.

The 56-year-old actor, who plays Brock Rumlow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, confirmed his relationship status to photographers while stepping out for dinner on Wednesday night (November 3) at Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif. (Check out those photos in the gallery)

Frank revealed that he is single after a recent split from girlfriend Nicky Whelan. They started dating last year during the pandemic and the first photos we posted of them together were taken in July 2020.

A photographer outside of Craig’s asked Frank if he’s dating an Australian girl right now and he replied, “No, that’s over. I’m single.”

Frank said there’s “no difference” between American girls and Australian girls. “They’re all the same,” he said. “They’re all great.”

When asked if he’d use dating apps to get back out there, Frank said, “No, no. I don’t even know how to do that. I’m 100 years old. I’m a f–king dinosaur.”

It was announced back in August 2021 that Frank and Nicky would be starring opposite each other in the movie Hounds of War. It’s unclear if the movie has been filmed yet or not.

Back in September, the former couple was seen packing on PDA during a trip to Florence.
