Joey Morgan Dead - 'Scouts Guide' Actor Has Passed at 28

Joey Morgan, an actor best known for his breakout role in the movie Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, has died at the young age of 28.

In the movie, Joey played the role of Augie Foster alongside a cast of fellow rising stars at the time, including Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, and Halston Sage.

The film’s director Christopher Landon took to Twitter on Sunday (November 21) to share the devastating news about Joey‘s death.

“Joey Morgan came into my life nearly 9 years ago when I made Scouts. He was quiet, funny, intelligent and thoughtful. And when the cameras rolled he was magnetic. He passed today and the news is heartbreaking. I am honored to have known him,” Christopher tweeted along with a broken heart emoji.

Joey‘s team confirmed the news to JustJared.com. “Please respect our privacy so we can grieve the loss of a very special person to us,” his rep said in a statement.

A cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Joey‘s other high-profile projects include the 2017 film Flower with Zoey Deutch and the 2018 film Sierra Burgess Is a Loser with Shannon Purser.
