Sutton Stracke Says Her Comments About Dorit Kemsley’s Home Invasion Were ‘Insensitive’

Sutton Stracke is speaking out about her comments on a recent episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Wednesday night’s episode (May 11) largely focused on Dorit Kemsley‘s terrifying home invasion that happened back in October.
In one scene, Sutton is seen arriving at her Kyle Richards‘ house after the robbery, offering cookies to her sobbing co-star. While Sutton listened as Kyle recounted Dorit “begging for her life,” she went on to say she’d also been “putting out fires all day.” Kyle questioned her reaction and Sutton replied, “I mean, I wasn’t held at gunpoint. I’m sorry.”

“I had had a very strange morning and day and I didn’t know a lot about what was going on, so I didn’t know the severity,” Sutton told Us Weekly of her response. “I didn’t really quite understand. And my mindset wasn’t there, so I was being insensitive.”
“I think had I been with Dorit, it would’ve been a different situation and I’m sorry that that didn’t happen. I just feel really terrible about the whole thing and that feelings get hurt,” she continued. “I take things really seriously and always wanna be there for my friends when they need me. And I was not in this moment and I don’t feel good about it.”
The reality star also teased that fans would “get to see how this whole thing unfolds in the season,” adding that no matter which Housewives fight “we don’t want anything bad to happen to one another.”
“I really adore her and it’s been so fun getting to know her,” she said of Dorit. “I love spending one-on-one time with her.”
