BBC Will Reboot ‘Survivor’ For The UK

Survivor will be returning to the UK, the BBC announced at the start of this week.

According to Deadline, the network is planning a 16-part series which will kick off next year.

The UK version of Survivor is expected to take 20 people to compete in physical and psychological challenges on an island in a bid to be crowned the ultimate survivor.

The BBC added in their announcement that a premiere date, host, and cast details would be announced soon.

While the show has been a huge hit in the U.S., international versions haven’t faired that well.

One format in Sweden lasted only two seasons in 1997. Previously, a UK version of the reality survivalist show aired on ITV around 2002.

Stay tuned for details about the US’s latest season!
