Britney Spears & Elton John Make Billboard Hot 100 History As ‘Hold Me Closer’ Debuts In the Top 10
With the success of “Hold Me Closer,” Britney joined Elton and an elite group including the likes of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Madonna and Michael Jackson to have top 10 hits in at least four decades. Of course, her first hit came in the ’90s with “…Baby One More Time.”
“Hold Me Closer” notched Elton his 29th top 10 and is Britney‘s 14th.
