Justin Long is opening up about why he prefers to call girlfriend Kate Bosworth something other than Kate.

The 44-year-old actor, who has been dating the 39-year-old actress for about a year, revealed that he actually likes to call her Catherine, which is her real name.

While promoting his new movie, Christmas With The Campbells on Today, Justin shared the reason why he likes to call Kate, Catherine, instead of Kate.

“Yeah, it’s a little more personal,” he told the hosts, before joking, “Even though it’s longer and a pain in the ass to say.”

Justin added that it’s nice to call her by her full name when the rest of the world knows her as “Kate.”

Just recently, Justin and Kate shared a handful of new photos together after spending Thanksgiving together.

Their movie together, House of Darkness, was just released in September.
