Ellen DeGeneres Releases Statement After Stephen 'tWitch' Boss' Tragic Death

Ellen DeGeneres is speaking out about Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, who you may recognize as the longtime DJ on her talk show.

The 40-year-old dancer and DJ tragically died on Tuesday (December 13), his wife Allison Holker confirmed. His cause of death has not verified at this time, but TMZ has reported that he may have died by suicide. The publication states that Allison allegedly ran into an LAPD station on Tuesday when her husband had left without his car. A short time later, police reportedly received a call about a shooting as a Los Angeles hotel. None of these details have been confirmed by the family at this time.

On Instagram, Ellen posted, “I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”

tWitch began DJ’ing for Ellen‘s talk show in 2014, and was the runner up on the 2008 season of So You Think Can Dance. He also appeared in movies like the Step Up franchise and Magic Mike XXL. He was married to his wife for nine years, and share three kids: Zaia, 3, Maddox, 6, and Weslie, 14.

Allison released a statement after news broke, confirming Stephen‘s death.
